This is by far the most delightful addition I have ever given my B9.  As a true fan with fond childhood memories of the show, it is a thrill to hear the robot speak directly of my family in the robot's very own voice.  Mr. Tufeld still sound wonderful after all these years.  Mike Joyce did an outstanding job of providing the recordings to me in several formats.  He even went out of his way to correct a misunderstanding on one of my phrases.  As always, Mike delivers in a very timely manor!  Thanks for a great service!

As usual, Mike's quality is unmatched.  The soil sampler is flawless and should fit nicely into my wooden tread section.  One of the great things about dealing with Mike Joyce is that when you order something, it arrives a few days later.  No long waiting periods..., no excuses..., no problems..., ever!  Other venders should follow Mike's lead in this area.

Received my Dick Tufeld Voice Recordings today, and they are nothing short of AMAZING!  The opportunity to have this custom phraseology on my B9 is a chance I could not pass up, and I am so glad I took the plunge.  The custom sounds were even better than the samples posted, and Mike's work as intermediary is to be applauded with a standing ovation.  Also, Mike's transcription service to digital media was done with great care and also done VERY quickly... it was less than 10 days from my submitting the phrases to receiving my CDs!!!

09/14/2004 - Torso Knob & Donut
I purchased a donut and torso knob from Mike.  The Knob arrived as expected, then Mike wrote to apologize that the donut would be an additional wait.  He offered to refund my money if I didn't want to wait the additional short time.  I waited and the donut shipped out sooner than he thought it would.  He gave me a tracking number so I could see when it would arrive.  Mike was on top of the whole deal the whole time.  I will definitely buy from Mike again.  Thanks Mike!

09/27/2004 - Dick Tufeld Voice Work
Got my personalized Dick Tufeld Robot phrases!  All 39 of them, two orders on one CD.  But here's the best part.  Dick Tufeld called me at my Brooklyn home!  Yep.  Nice man. Considering his past throat illness, he sounded good, too.  Since he struggled in pronounciation, particularly with Yia Sou, he hadda hear me say it.
First two words when Dick called me were: "Yia Sou!"  I did an Irwin Allen on him as when he was first interviewed for the Robot voice.  I told him: "My Golly! What took you so long?"  In hearing him as he spoke to me, it was a weiry feeling.  As though the Robot was talking to me!  He also had problems in pronouncing my last name, As-Pras.  How I suggested he say it?  Well. . . I can't tell you everything!  
All in all, a nice job!  The CD comes just as the Dan Monroe with a difference of this being custom made.  Very important, gives your Robot life!  Couldn't expect mine to say: "Danger, danger" all the time.  I'd shut it down the second day.
As for MikeJ, I doubt if this was an ideal time being that he's undergoing preparations for the Chiller convention in a month.  Nevertheless, Mike was the middleman, active throughout the entire process with never a hint that he was busy elsewhere.  A true leader!
Thanks Mike!  And a thanks to Dick Tufeld!  This recording will always be cherished!

I just got my Mike Joyce torso & donut combo yesterday. (7/20/04).
Mike originally thought it would take two weeks to ship, he filled my order in two hours!
So total time from order to delivery was less than a week!  
Everything arrived in excellent condition all that remains is the finishing and priming (instructions are included as well as some very helpful guides for drilling and placing the details on the torso.)

I wanted to like a moment to make an unsolicited testimonial for MikeJ's nifty Functional Soil Sampler (FSS).  It is a precision engineered part and the aluminum component pieces are anodized in no less than three different colors.  A(nother) top notch part from MikeJ.  I highly recommend it.  Since this is going to be a one-shot run of these, I would highly suggest anyone who is interested look into it before they sell out.

Received my Soil Sampler three days ago!  Finally got a chance to test it out.  Works as it should, if not better.  On the television show, one could detect that a hand was twisting the tube.  This one, however, is motorized and works in steady motion.  I like that the tube starts and stops turning during its extraction and retraction.  To operate its cycle, you're not limited to just one source.  The trigger (yellow and green wire) can be simultaneously hooked up to several contact points (chest buttons and/or remote control and/or other sources). Too bad it'll be hidden.  With only 50 made worldwide, this item should have been stamped with a collector's edition number!  Its construction is so light that I thought that the housing was plastic.  It'll never rust.  Still, to avoid dirt and mud, I'm afraid that mine will never actually be tested in real soil, though.  Great job, Mike!

I just received Michael Joyce's Soil Sampler today.  I removed it from its carefully packaged box and clamped it in my wood vice to test it out.  Checked out the instructions and powered it up.  Works great!, a Cool Factor of 10+   The workmanship on this unit is excellent.  I highly recommend this assembly to any builder.  Easily worth the price.

Hello Mike,
The torso arrived today. Incredible! Even without placing the Dewey torso next to it, you can see the superiority in yours. No comparison. Beautiful sharp trim and the interior has just blown me away. Even the vent openings are super straight instead of warped and sideways at an angle. I just have to see if my vent set fits on the side openings. They appear a bit longer.
You've really given me something very special to work with, not to mention, I can actually work on the details rather than make extensive repairs just to get it to where one would think it should have been in the first place.

I got my torso today. It is awesome. I am so happy and pumped, like a kid on Christmas. I am so happy to finally have the most important part. This means alot after the Icons disaster.
