Pros: Excellent and accurate ear sensors. Fine working accurate claws Cons: The sensors require a bit of milling to get the ears to sit as in their slots like the photo's (I used a micro bit on a dremel on slow) . The action of the claws could be a bit smoother because of the resin flashing. Im drilling for bearings so that should be sorted. Heavier than anticipated so I have to gear them with a small drive . Overall the best out there and well worth the price. Thanks guys.

I got my parts today. The crown is beautiful! I thought about making one myself, but I know it would not have turned out this nice. It is made from a heavy-gauge Stainless Steel. The parts are cut very clean and exact. The unit is put together well and is very sturdy. When you pick it up and feel the weight it has, you know it is a quality piece. The outer faces of the fins and bottom disc are polished to a mirror finish just like it is in the operation scene in "Welcome Stranger". I'm very happy. The power pack kit looks great. It has everything you need except the plex-glass cover. Bill even gives you decals for some of the components, paint part numbers for the frame, and detailed instructions for finishing and assembling. Very nice as well. I met Bill at RoboCon, he is a great guy. He brought all of his parts to show the club, and everything he offers is great. Next: I need a pair of his Claws and Wrists!

Very nice parts. The aluminum ear post photo on the vendor page does not do the resin version justice-they look great. Clean, sharp lines-it even looks like the top 'cone' is a separate piece. The Sensor kit is very nice too. They are such small, delicate parts and they look good. I ordered the clear season 1 sensor dishes. The resin parts need a slight bit of trimming/cleaning and they'll be ready for finishing and installation. I can't wait to see them on the robot!

I received Bill and Rods parts two days ago, the quality on these parts is exceptional, especially the claw mechanism which works very well and looks solid.  The sensors and microphone have already been fitted and, with very little sanding to be done on the claws/wrists, it shouldn't be too long before they're finished off and fitted as well.

Very nice Wrists & Claws.  It looks like they changed the resin used to a much lighter weight resin than I have seen on other claws made by them which is a very good thing.
Just a light sanding and cleaning and the parts are ready to paint and use. It looks like the mold used to cast the power pack frame needs to be remade. It took a fair amount of detailing and fixing to get the power pack frame to looking like it should but once it was done, I had a very good and accurate power pack. The time to get the parts was a little long but as I understand it, I ordered the parts in the winter and I had to wait for some warm weather so they could cast the parts, which is understandable.

Wow! Real quality parts, and almost no prep before painting. Nice material to work with and very,very easy to sand what little there was to sand.
The claw/wrist mechanism is outstanding, and a really great design that obviously had a great deal of thought put into it.
Light box is perfect and really makes the chest buttons light up brightly.  Nice detail on the torso knob and mike.

I would like to join the ranks of happy people who have got these claws and wrists from Bill.He has truely done a great job on these parts. I would highly recommend them to anyone building a B9 replica.

10/16/2003 Ear Sensors
L et me be the first to say how wonderful Bill's new laser cut sensors and resin holders are. I've purchased them in kit form. The holders are amazing and only require superficial sanding. As for attaching the holders to the motors, they each come with a slotted screw installed for you, however, you do have to drill a hole at the base to accept the output shaft of the MicroMo motors. This is no big deal. The sensors themselves fit amazingly snug in the holder and I really don't even see the point of gluing them.
I'll have them painted and installed by tomorrow. I'll let you know when I update my website so you all can take a look. Thanks BillK.

08/15/2003 Wrist/Claw Combo and mechanism.
This part is fantastic and was described perfectly by Bill K. My Robot looks good with these and with the rotating center panels it really adds more realism to my B9. The parts required little or no finish work and basically were ready for light sanding and painting.

Just wanted to mention that I recently received Bill K's excellent new claws and am very impressed by the attention to detail and the authenticity of the new design.
