Take a look at the following photos.  It looks to me like the top edge of the bezel is very close to the two large chest lights and that the 12 belly lights, as a group, are closer to the lower ring of the torso than to the lower edge of the bezel.

Here's how I ended up drilling my torso, the bezel cut out is a bit higher and the belly lights are a bit lower.

This is a very minor detail, but I think it helps the overall balance look right.
