Robots from the early '80s.

Here's some old friends from my early robot days.

Eggbert was driven by two DC gear motors which could be commanded forward or reverse at 64 different speeds.  This allowed him to spin on a dime.  Sensors include four sonar that could the range of objects out to about 10 feet.  A speech chip allowed him to speak various preprogrammed phrases.  Programmed behaviors included moving about while avoiding objects and telling jokes and tracking and following slow moving objects.

The LEG.
A pneumatic leg designed to be part of a six leg walker.  Programmed to stomp soda cans and drag itself around.  Cost of further developement and impractical size ended this project.
